We love granola bars, but most of the store bought ones have soy. I have made some almond butter ones at home that were very good, but I don’t like to give my kids under 2 nuts or nut butters, so the littlest one could never have the granola bars. But then I found this yummy recipe that I tinkered with a bit because I don’t eat coconut, and I don’t want to put nuts in so the little one can eat it. Here is our yummy, simple product that all members of our family can (and did!) enjoy.
Yummy Banana Oat Bars
2 bananas mashed
2 cups of quick oats,
1/2 cup sugar free applesauce
3/4 cup of raisins
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until combined
Pat into a 8 x 8 pan coated lightly with non-stick spray.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Enjoy!

Are these soft granola bars? Or hard?
They are soft and chewy, and I just discovered they taste even sweeter after they have been refrigerated overnight. Yum!
Hey great idea! I love homemade granola bars but they usually have nuts in them and sometimes, they need to be avoided. Good call.
Is there something I can use other than applesauce?
You could try to use oil instead, or yogurt, but of course, then it wouldn’t be dairy free.
