There are many ways to save money, but I read somewhere that the best way to save money is on the little things. Saving $2000 off the sticker price of a car is great, but it is only a one time savings. If you break your gourmet coffee habit and don’t buy coffee out everyday for several years the savings is also significant. If you save money on many little things, well, the savings just multiple.
I have been freezer cooking for several months now, and one easy way I save money is to rewash the large gallon size freezer bags I use. If I put 10 muffins in a freezer bag, once the muffins are gone, I wash it by hand and hang it up to dry. When I am doing my next freezer cooking day, I just scratch out the old contents’ label and write a new one. It may not be pretty, but that doesn’t matter. (Note—I never reuse the bags that have stored raw meat.)

That is a great green idea! Thanks for sharing!
A little late but wanted to say thanks for visiting my blog and I am following you right back from Follow Friday!
Have a great day!
I wash my bags too. I've found if I hold them open and fling it gets more of the water out before hanging to dry.
I do this too with things like muffins or frozen fruit or veggies I've had in the freezer. These bags are nice and heavy duty.
I've also started using freezer quart containers for a lot of our OAMC meals.
I never reuse the meat bags though. But then again, I usually use the containers for the meat things. I'm just too worried that I won't get the Ziploc freezer bags clean enough that had meat in them.
And you're right, it's the little things that really add up!
We save a lot of money on the little things, too! I recently wrote detailed instructions for washing plastic bags, for anyone who feels puzzled by how to do it.
