My son has been making and decorating shamrocks in art class, and we have a drawing book for him to learn to make some of the more common Irish items such as a leprechaun, an Irish cottage, etc.

So, for lunch I decided to make him an Irish bento.  We didn’t have much in the house for this theme, so I did the best I could.

First, he has a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the shape of a leprechaun’s hat.  Above the hat are Goldfish bunnies (can you tell I can’t wait for spring!) and then there is a gold coin above it all.  On the side he has a pumpkin muffin and some mandrin oranges.

After I made it he declared he would have the best lunch in first grade, but we will see what he thinks of it after school today.
