We’ve enjoyed a quieter week this week because we actually had a few days where we could be home all day! However, that just meant that there was all the household work to catch up on. I did get to make some Beet Pancakes and Chicken Apple Sausage, Kale and Rice soup in the freezer, so I have something to show for my busy days at home. 🙂
Here’s what I accomplished this week:
Last Week’s Goals
Financial
Have a brief budget meeting (no more than 10 minutes) with my husband.
Personal
- Write 3 thank you notes.
- Find a physician for myself and DH.
Get up by 5 a.m. every day this week.- Have a mini freezer cooking session and blog about it. (I moved this to this weekend since last weekend was too busy with freelance work.)
- Crochet one row a day on my daughter’s blanket. I crocheted one row. Still an embarrassing failure on this for the last three weeks, but I did get more done than I did on other weeks. That counts, right?
Take the kids to the library once this week.Do 5 days of homeschooling with Bookworm and the girls.Read at least 3 books to the girls or a few chapters of our Little House on the Prairie book a day.Do at least 15 minutes of ABCMouse.com with Cuddle Bug and 15 minutes of Starfall.com with PB & J Girl 4 days this week.Read at least 50 pages in the book I’m currently reading (The Year of Learning Dangerously).
Work
- Write a book review for my blog and schedule it in advance.
Write 2 other posts for my blog.Write 5 posts for those I work for.- Decide on a regular publishing schedule for Mom’s Plans. I’ve been thinking of the direction I’d like to go, but nothing is firm yet.
This Week’s Goals
Financial
- Have a brief budget meeting (no more than 10 minutes) with my husband.
- Rework the budget. (I just got a semi-annual HOA bill, which I completely left out of the budget. Oops! It’s also clear that the grocery budget I set was too low, so I have to find more money for groceries.)

Do you make weekly goals? If so, what are yours?
I shared this post at Money Saving Mom.

I love more.starfall.com for my kids. They have learned so much from playing games on starfall. I also need to find a new doctor for myself. Good luck with your goals this week.

Thanks. Good luck on your goals, too!
