Since it’s Lent, I decided to add a few personal goals. Other than that, I plan to have a pretty low-key week goal-wise because we have a busy, hectic week ahead of us. (Am I sounding like a broken record yet?)
Last Week’s Goals
Financial
- Decide with my husband what conferences we’ll attend in 2014.
Personal
Study Japanese with the kids at least four times this week.
- Make flashcards for Japanese and study 10 minutes a day additional. Not yet.
Read at least 3 books to the girls a day.Do at least 15 minutes of ABCMouse.com with each girl 2 to 3 days this week.Read for 30 minutes every day.- Clean around the top and sides of the microwave. I didn’t get to this, but I instead cleaned the top of my dresser. (I wish I had a picture, but honestly it was just too embarrassing! Picture a 18 inch stack of clothes, kids’ stuff, and just general clutter. That was my dresser, but now it has a nice, clean surface.)
Work
Put up 2 reviews and/or giveaways this week.Write 6 staff writing and freelance articles this week.Have at least 3 of my own blog posts written and scheduled for next week.
This Week’s Goals
Financial
- No financial goals this week. 🙂
Personal
During the 40 days of Lent, I plan to do a few more tasks. You’ve probably noticed that I’m not very good at even meeting my minimal goals of exercising two days a week. I know I need to take care of my body, so during Lent, I plan to exercise at least 20 minutes every day. I also plan to say a decade of the rosary every day with the kids. I haven’t tried this before, so I’m not sure how it will go, but I think it would be good for us to pray together as a family besides just saying the kids’ night prayers.

Do you make weekly goals? If so, what are yours?
I shared this post at Money Saving Mom.

I love that you aren’t just giving up things for lent, but also adding in some things that are good for you! Good luck with the exercising. I think I am going to go hop on my bike right now!
