Some weeks we get so little done, I don’t even want to publish these updates.  This is one of those weeks.  We’ve had a trying time getting back into the groove after our little vacation.  Here’s to planning on a better week this week.

Financial

  • No financial goals this week.

Personal

During the 40 days of Lent, I plan to do a few more tasks.  You’ve probably noticed that I’m not very good at even meeting my minimal goals of exercising two days a week.  I know I need to take care of my body, so during Lent, I plan to exercise at least 20 minutes every day.  I also plan to say a decade of the rosary every day with the kids.  I haven’t tried this before, so I’m not sure how it will go, but I think it would be good for us to pray together as a family besides just saying the kids’ night prayers.

  • Exercise for at least 20 minutes each day this week.  Not accomplished.  We only exercised one day this week.  I’m failing at my Lenten goals; time to pick up my game.
  • Pray a decade of the rosary every day with the kids.  Not accomplished.
  • Read at least 3 books to the girls a day.
  • Study Japanese with the kids at least four times this week.  No, we haven’t done Japanese since we went on our trip.  Time to get with the program.
  • Do at least 15 minutes of ABCMouse.com with each girl 2 to 3 days this week.
  • Read for 30 minutes every day.  I was busy catching up on my paying jobs, so this didn’t get done.

Work

  • Put up 2 reviews and/or giveaways this week.
  • Write 6 staff writing and freelance articles this week.
  • Have at least 3 of my own blog posts written and scheduled for next week.  I had two written in advance.
  • Write about three of the tourist attractions we went to before I forget the details.  🙂  Not yet.

This Week’s Goals

Financial

  • Have a budget meeting with my husband.  We’ll find out this week how much we owe in taxes, so we’ll have a big meeting this week.
  • Set up automatic payments for our savings goals.  For the past 6 weeks, I’ve had money automatically taken out every week to go into our emergency fund.  It’s working so well that I’ve decided to do the same for all of our irregular expenses such as auto insurance that we only pay every six months.
  • List the kids’ outgrown spring/summer clothes on eBay and Mom Mail.
  • Gather up some of the homeschooling material we aren’t going to use to get ready to sell.
