When I started homeschooling and decided not to have a babysitter as I’ve had the past two years, I also made the decision to only work about two hours each night and the bulk of my hours on the weekend. That works great, as long as we never have a busy weekend or go out of town.
We’ve gone out of town for the last two weekends, and I can tell the difference! This weekend I plan to get a lot of writing done and to really tackle the decluttering as I prepare for an upcoming garage sale.
Here’s how I did last week, and what I hope to accomplish this week:
An Update on Last Week’s Goals:
Financial
- List two homeschooling items we aren’t going to use (Saxon phonics and Sonlight’s Core G) on Facebook and eBay.
Pack up two tubs of “stuff” to be sold at an upcoming garage sale.- Do the budget and have a budget meeting with my husband.
Personal
Get rid of 2 bags of “stuff” we no longer use.- Study Japanese with the kids at least two times this week.
Read at least 3 books to the girls a day.Do at least 15 minutes of ABCMouse.com with each girl 2 to 3 days this week.- Read for 30 minutes every day.
Work
Put up 2 reviews and/or giveaways this week.Write 8 staff writing and freelance articles this week.- Have at least 2 of my own blog posts written and scheduled for next week. I failed miserably at this. Did you notice?

Do you make weekly goals? If so, what are yours?
I shared this post at Money Saving Mom.

I do have a weekly goal too. My weekly goals are following up my daughter about her violin class daily, guiding her to improve her reading habits, do grocery once a week, going out and jog daily for 1 hour.
Jogging for an hour! That’s impressive! How far do you run during that time?
It’s hard being a work at home mom and I can’t imagine home schoolng on top of it! You’re awesome!

It’s been a juggling act, that’s for sure, but I’m glad to have the opportunity to homeschool.
Good luck with your goals this week! You are a busy lady! I just got done doing a garage sale and it is hard work but so worth it when it’s over! I brought home a very small tote of things and the rest were donated that didn’t sell and my home looks and feels so much better! 🙂 Here are my goals: http://womenwithintention.com/goals-week-21/
