This week we took a break from homeschooling for Bookworm.  The only assignments he had to do were the ones that he had fallen behind on so we’d be caught up and ready to go.

We’re spending the evenings watching the Olympics.  On Monday, we had a doctor’s appointment to get a food intolerance test and then later in the day the kids had tin whistle class.  On Tuesday, we went ice skating with a homeschool group.  The rink was 45 minutes away, and we stayed for 2 hours, so that was 3.5 hours.  Today, we had our co-op.  Tomorrow Bookworm is going to an electronics class and then he has choir.  Friday, the girls are going to speech class, and then we’re going to a Valentine’s Day party.

We’re not usually this busy, but since we’re taking it easy on homeschooling this week, it’s the perfect time to attend extracurricular activities.  However, since we can’t keep our regular routine, I’m getting behind on household chores. . .and my to do list, as you can tell by how many goals I accomplished (and how many I didn’t!).

Last Week’s Goals

Financial

  • Have a budget meeting with my husband.
  • Decide with my husband what conferences we’ll attend in 2014.
  • Create our will.  I sat down on Friday night to do this, and it’s all saved and completed in Legal Zoom.  However, I had one question that I have to call Legal Zoom to inquire about.  Then this will be done.
  • Get all the documents together to file our taxes and submit them to our accountant.  I gathered all the documents together, but I didn’t submit them yet.

Personal

  • Study Japanese with the kids at least four times this week.
  • Read at least 3 books to the girls a day.  We’ve been too busy this week!  We’ve gotten our homeschooling done, but not extra reading.
  • Do at least 15 minutes of ABCMouse.com with each girl 2 to 3 days this week.
  • Spend an hour listing things for sale on Craigslist and Mom Mail.
  • Read for 30 minutes every day.  I’m currently reading Ted Kennedy’s memoir, True Compass, but I’m getting bored, so I’m going to take a break and move to Seabiscuit for a while.
  • Write two journal entries this week.
  • Exercise with the kids 3 times this week.
  • Help the kids write thank you notes for Christmas presents.

Work

  • Put up 2 reviews and/or giveaways this week.
  • Write 7 staff writing and freelance articles this week.  I wrote 9 articles this week.
  • Have at least 3 of my own blog posts written and scheduled for next week.
