I’m not a big fan of Black Friday.  I hate the hype and commercialism, so for the last few years, my husband and I have made a list of what we *need*, and we buy those things during the Black Friday sales.  Last year, we needed new pots and pans because ours were chipping and scratched, so we bought those.

Let’s face it, buying something at a great price because of the price is not a smart move.  Instead, buy what you *need* and save money because you were going to buy it anyway.

If you’re new to homeschooling, or you just want to make your dollars stretch further, or if you have multiple kids to homeschool, you really can’t go wrong with these three amazing Black Friday deals.

SchoolhouseTeachers.com AND Dove Channel

For the next 7 days, from November 23 – 30th, you can get SchoolhouseTeachers.com AND Dove Channel for only $99 for the entire year!  (Normally, SchoolhouseTeachers.com is $199 for the year, and Dove Channel is either $4.99 a month or $39.99 for the year.)

SchoolhouseTeachers.com

SchoolhouseTeachers.com is an amazing homeschool resource.  There are more than 300 courses offered ranging from classes for preschool to high school.  Your whole family can utilize this resource.

Courses cover a wise spectrum from foreign language to history, to geography, to math, to music, really, just about any subject you can imagine.  Many of the courses are self-paced, so your children can join at any time.

There are also many streaming series available on SchoolhouseTeachers.com.  Bookworm is enjoying watching Drive Thru History: American History.  Next semester, when he begins to study ancient history, I plan to supplement by having him watch Drive Thru History: Ancient History.  Another streaming option I have my eye on for Bookworm is Geography of the Bible.  Parents may also be interested in the Torchlighters shows.

There are also programs available for parents only.  I can’t emphasize enough how much bang you get for your buck with SchoolhouseTeachers.com.

Dove Channel

To make the deal even sweeter, though, as part of your $99 subscription during this special offer, you’ll also get one free year to Dove Channel.  We just discovered Dove Channel and are highly impressed.  You can find good, Christian content for the whole family, including some old classics like Shirley Temple movies, The Little Rascals, and Abbott and Costello.

When browsing for movies, you can choose by genre or by the appropriate age (for 12+, for the whole family, etc.)  In addition, when you click on the description of a movie, you can see it rated for language, nudity, violence, drugs, and sexuality.

Maestro Classics

We were introduced to Maestro Classics through the Review Crew, and we love them!  We now own nine of these fabulous CDs including The Nutcracker, Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel, and My Name Is Handel.

While each CD retails for $16.98, during their Black Friday sale, you can get them for $9.97 each, or you can buy a 12 CD package for $89.95!  (That comes out to just $7.49 per CD!)  Normally, the 12 CD package retails for $200.

Oh, during the sale, shipping is free!  Be warned, though, the sale is only good for Friday.

I am not an affiliate for Maestro Classics.  I just love their products!

Notebooking Pages

Notebooking Pages is perfect for families who use a unit study approach or a notebooking approach.  (Read my full review of Notebooking Pages.)

There is so much available on this site, you will likely NEVER exhaust the options.  Even better, for one low fee, you have access to the site for a lifetime for all of your children!  The fee is normally $99, but during the Black Friday – Cyber Monday sale, you can get $25 off, so you’re only paying $72 for a lifetime membership.

Cyber Weekend Membership Sale
To make it even easier, Notebooking Pages can spread your payment over three payments – $10, $31, and $31.

These are my favorite Black Friday deals for homeschoolers!
