I sold seven more items on eBay, so after fees, I earned about $32. I also earned 131.11 for writing/advertising, giving me a total of $163.11 earned for the week. That gives us $163.11 saved for March’s expenses.
Almost more important than the money earned is what we have not spent. Our February budget is extrememly tight, and I have been proud of us not spending much money. Already we have had two no spend days. I am hoping we will only have to make a small dip into savings by the end of the month.
Also, I cleaned the dance studio for the first time this past weekend. (You may remember that I agreed to clean the studio one weekend a month in exchange for my son’s $48 monthly tuition being waived.) It was a lot of hard work! I took my son with me, and I thought he would be bored or uncooperative, but he cleaned his little heart out. At one point he said, “We are cleaning so we don’t have to pay for my dance class?” When I told him yes and asked what he thought of that, he said, “I think it is a good idea.”
We spent 2.5 hours cleaning. Had I been there by myself without his help, it would have easily taken 3 hours. I averaged $19.20 per hour, which was a fair wage for all of the cleaning. I also think my son is learning an important lesson.

Great job . I would love to know what you sold on ebay. Not only fun for us to see but also a great way to share your eBay site.
I am interesting on how you are making money on your writing/ advertising. I could use help with that.
Grace, I sold three pairs of 3-6 month baby girl sleepers, two baby girl 3 to 6 month outfits and one 6-12 month outfit along with a boy’s size 4T Valentine Day’s shirt. All were from Gymboree except the boy’s shirt that was from Janie & Jack.
I will write a post later about how I am making money on writing/advertising.

What a fantastic lesson for your son! I love that you’re including him so he learns.
And congratulations on your saving and not spending. With February slated to be a rough month, it sounds like you’re doing great at keeping the savings account well stocked.
You’re doing great! I also think your son is learning some valuable lessons.
Love it! You should find out if you can turn the radio on while you clean.. I mean, it IS a dance studio 🙂 And I’m sure the more you do it, the more routine it will become and you’ll be able to do it even quicker!
Fantastic earnings too!
I thought about turning on the radio. That would make it a little more fun 🙂
