I earned $245.00 this week through writing/advertising and virtual assistant jobs and $28.00 from selling one of my husband’s textbooks on eBay, giving me a total of $273.
I now have $629.97 saved for July expenses.
While I am happy to see my monthly earning increasing, I am still a bit nervous about being able to afford Japanese school next winter. That will be hundreds of dollars more a month in addition to my husband’s student loans that will come due. I try not to think of it too much now and just focus on building my income earning potential.

Great job! $273 is a lot for a part-time gig!
As far as Japanese school for your son, could you take a semester off and do an at home course? Or have your hubby teach him at home? Special time with dad is always a good motivator! 🙂
We may need to do that. The problem is that my husband is at work during the time the kids are awake except for 2 hours during the weekdays. Still, he should talk to them in Japanese more often.
I just saw a Rosetta Stone homeschooling course on Amazon for $159. It was in Spanish, however, I am not just how much the Japenese course would be. It made me think of you! 🙂
Perhaps that is less expensive that the school?
Would you mind sharing how you got into virtual assistant world? I am very curious and the only thing I seem to come across is scams..
Hi. It was really through word of mouth. One blogger I knew wanted help, and then based on the work I did with him, it led to several other jobs. I would say the best way is to get into forums and become active; that is how I got the initial job. Also, Simple Mom just recently had a post about it: http://simplemom.net/virtual-assistant/
you are awesome! thank you!
