I earned $253.76 this week through writing/advertising, which is a good start to the month.
Later this week I should hear back from my son’s school about his financial aid. I’ll report on that next week.
Also, my husband and I sat down and looked at our finances, specifically what it will take to be able to send our daughter to Japanese school next January. Yikes! I will need to have a thriving part-time, work at home income to make that happen. (I’ll be writing up a blog post on that later.) To that end, I have created a “hire me” page on this blog offering my freelance services. I hope to slowly build my workload between now and January.
I now have $253.76 saved for July expenses.

It looks like June is off to a great start! It’s also a really great idea to post a hire me page. Good luck on taking on more writing gigs.
Thanks, Little House.
Fantastic idea to place a “Hire Me” option on the blog! I think your multiple blogs can be set up to make you a good part time income. I’m looking forward to learning more on monetizing at the financial blog conference this October!
I know. I am excited about going in October too.
Great work! I love your ‘hire me’ page. I didn’t realize you had so many freelance blogging gigs.
I need to put both a hire me page and advertise with me page on my blog. Also looking forward to meeting you in October.
I look forward to meeting you in October too.
