Every Tuesday night, I like to link up to We are THAT family’s weekly blog meme, Works for Me Wednesday, where bloggers can share tips.  This meme has grown, and each week over 200 bloggers share their helpful tip posts from the week.  Tips can range from how to remove stains to how to get more visitors to your blog, to how to save more money.  Kristen, at We are THAT family, has been hosting Works for Me Wednesday for several years now, so there is a wealth of information available.

She and Jennifer DeGroot have compiled the best 800 tips into an ebook, That Works for Me!  The tips in this ebook encompass 24 different categories:

  • Baby
  • Beauty
  • Blogging
  • Cleaning
  • Craft
  • Decor
  • Frugal
  • Garden
  • Gift
  • Green
  • Holiday
  • Homeschool
  • Hospitality
  • Kitchen
  • Laundry
  • Marriage
  • Odds & Ends
  • Organization
  • Parenting
  • Pets
  • Recipes
  • Time Management
  • Tech/Computers
  • Travel

There is a comprehensive Table of Contents that lists the name of each tip and the page number, so you can scan through the chapter in the index and find the tip you are looking for or jump to the tip you would like to read.  Then, once you get to the tip that interests you, there is a brief summary and a link to the actual blog post.  (By the way, this is also an excellent way to discover new blogs to read!)

Did I mention that several of my tips are also included?  🙂  One of my included tips is Check the Ads after a Big Purchase.  Just a few of the other tips in the book that I enjoyed were Save Money with Cheap College Books by Wealth Informatics and Consider Edible Landscapes by Keeping the Kingdom First.  For those of you who like once a month cooking, Getting Freedom from Debt shares Freezer Tips.

These are only 3 tips out of 800 shared by women and moms from all walks of life with a variety of interests and experiences!

See the value in this book?  I will be reading it for several weeks to go through all of the tips and discover new blogs.

That Works for Me!, jam packed with valuable information for many aspects of your life, is available for the very reasonable price of $8, but you can use the code SAVE1 to get it for $7.

The best part?  Besides the benefit you get of all the tips, Kristen is donating a percentage of the profits to Mercy House, which offers a safe, guarded place for girls and women in Kenya to give birth and learn skills to improve their lives.  This is a home that Kristen and her husband started.
