Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
We were remarkably healthy this winter until a few weeks ago. We had a cold run through the family that resulted in sore throats and plenty of sniffles. Luckily, I had just received some products from Pine Bros.
History of Pine Bros.
Pine Bros. was started in 1870 by Herman Pine. If you don’t know the name, it’s probably because Pine Bros. popularity peaked in the 1970s, after having been sold to the Life Savers Company in the 1930s.
After the 1970s, Pine Bros. was sold by Life Savers and acquired and resold to a number of other companies.
Just recently Pine Bros. was acquired by the owners of Airborne. Much time was taken to find the original packaging and use the original recipe. This product is also now made entirely in the United States.
Our Experience with Pine Bros.
My husband was the first to get sick, so he tried these first. (We got to sample the Natural Honey flavor.) Initially he didn’t care for the flavor because it is mild and doesn’t have that strong menthol taste other cough drops have. However, the drop did a great job soothing his throat, and he liked using these at night when in bed better than the typical hard cough drops we usually use.
When I got the scratchy throat, I tried these and loved them. I loved the soft texture and how well they soothed my throat. I also liked the subtle flavor and the fact that after I used one of these, my tongue wasn’t covered in an artificial color.
Even better is that these cough drops are made from all natural ingredients. In fact, there are just seven ingredients, all of which I can pronounce!
Besides the Natural Honey flavor, Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops are also sold in Wild Cherry and Black Licorice.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
