This post contains affiliate links. Last week I focused on setting smaller goals, micro-goals, if you will.  That system worked perfectly for me, so I think I’ll start doing that every week, and once a month I’ll update the monthly goals.  Right now, small, attainable goals work for me.

An Update for the Last Week

And, here is an update on my goals I want to achieve in 2020: weeks 23 of 52.

My 16 Goals I Want to Accomplish in 2020: Week 1 of 52

  1. DONE.  Set, write down, and achieve daily goals.
  2. Set a new schedule for the kids.  (We do great until about 2 p.m., but then there’s too much free time and the kids get bored and start fighting.)
  3. Create a new chore chart.
  4. DONE.  Exercise for 45 minutes. (Wow.  I hadn’t exercised for about 12 days, and I couldn’t believe how much progress I had lost.  Plus, it was hard to get motivated again, especially with the hot Arizona summers.)
  5. DONE.  Track and stick to WW’s Purple Plan.  I lost .5 pounds this week, giving me a total of 5.5 pounds in 2 weeks.
  6. DONE.  Declutter & organize the bookshelf on my side of the bed (It’s a little embarrassing to share these pictures, but I’m sure we’re not the only family where all the extra “stuff” gets deposited in mom & dad’s room.)
    Before

    After
  7. DONE.  Delete at least five groups I’m part of on FB that are irrelevant to me.  (I enjoy Facebook, but lately, I feel like there’s just too much noise.  Every time I go on, I feel like I’m entering a room full of arguing people, so I’m actively going to work to shut out some of the noise on there.)
  8. Do a full freezer/pantry inventory (This one is half done.)
  9. Set up a method of tracking our food inventory like the one suggested here(Again, half done.)
  10. DONE.  Continue doing Duolingo daily.
  11. DONE.  Continue toward my reading goals.

I have completed 22 books so far this year, making this goal 55% complete.

I finished The Stationery Shop, and I loved it.  Look for a review tomorrow!.
