For this upcoming 6 weeks, I want to make my goals smaller and more specific.  Last 6 weeks, I fell behind on two areas, which is what I want to focus on this 6 weeks.

Health Goals

Eat My Meals 4 Hours Apart

I fill up quickly, but then I get hungry quickly, too.  I’d prefer to eat small meals every 2.5 to 3 hours, but that doesn’t help me get rid of SIBO, so I need to change my eating pattern to eating 4 meals a day, with each meal 4 hours apart.

Take Activated Charcoal to Detox from Mold

Yes, once again, my levels are high, and I have to have (another!) mold detox.

Exercise

I have two goals for exercise:

Walk at Least One Mile a Day 5x a Week

Lift Weights Two Times a Week and Do Yoga Once a Week

(eventually I want to do this more, but this 6 weeks, I’m working on small, manageable habits)

Meal Prep 4 out of the Next 6 Weeks

Personal Development

Read 3 Books

This goal sounds ambitious for my schedule, but I’m more than halfway through this book and this one, so I think I can do it.

Listen to Japanese for 1,000 Minutes

Yes, I’m increasing this goal from last time.  I plan to listen to Japanese music in the background when I work, listen to Japanese practices, and watch the news and videos in Japanese.

Study Japanese for 360 Minutes

I’ll continue to use Japanese Pod 101 and also watch videos on YouTube.

Write in My Journal 5x a Week

I’ve been doing this regularly, but a more manageable goal is 5 times a week rather than 7 times a week.

Financial Goals

Determine What Home Improvements We Want to Make This Year

There are so many things we want to do to continue improving our home, but we likely need to replace the furnace and refrigerator soon, so mostly we need to squirrel away money for those items. No big home improvements this year, but we still want to make some changes.

Start Planting Our Seeds for the Garden

Lettuce, tomato, and green onion plants

We’ve decided what we want to plant; in a few weeks, we’ll have to start planting things.  I already bought a grow light for the seedlings. (Growing season is short here!)

Don’t Spend Any More than $2,000 on Groceries

Eating Healthy Gluten Free Dairy Free Food on a Budget

I doubt that we will spend that much, but I do have a ButcherBox order coming up, and I still need to pay the last deposit on our CSA.

How are you doing on your goals for 2024?
