Health Goals

Eat My Meals 4 Hours Apart

Most days, I stretched my meals to 3 to 3.5 hours apart, so I’m getting there.

I fill up quickly, but then I get hungry quickly, too.  I’d prefer to eat small meals every 2.5 to 3 hours, but that doesn’t help me get rid of SIBO, so I need to change my eating pattern to eating 4 meals a day, with each meal 4 hours apart.

Take Activated Charcoal to Detox from Mold

Didn’t do this perfectly, but got in the required amount of activated charcoal 4/7 days.

Yes, once again, my levels are high, and I have to have (another!) mold detox.

Exercise

I have two goals for exercise:

Walk at Least One Mile a Day 5x a Week

Rocked this one! I walked one mile every day of the week, plus one day I walked an additional 80 minutes with friends. 7/7

Lift Weights Two Times a Week and Do Yoga Once a Week

And, I failed this one. 0/7

Meal Prep 4 out of the Next 6 Weeks

Meal prepped this week and will share in next Tuesday’s post 1/6.

Personal Development

Read 3 Books

This week I finished the audiobook, Remarkably Bright Creatures, which I loved. The narrator was outstanding! 1/3

Listen to Japanese for 1,000 Minutes

I listened to Japanese music while I worked for 150 minutes this week, making this goal 15% complete.

Study Japanese for 360 Minutes

I used Japanese Pod 101 and watched videos on YouTube for a total of 73 minutes this week, making this goal 20% complete.

Write in My Journal 5x a Week

Failed this one this week. I didn’t write in my journal at all.

Financial Goals

Determine What Home Improvements We Want to Make This Year

No progress yet. There are so many things we want to do to continue improving our home, but we likely need to replace the furnace and refrigerator soon, so mostly we need to squirrel away money for those items. No big home improvements this year, but we still want to make some changes.

Start Planting Our Seeds for the Garden

Lettuce, tomato, and green onion plants

No progress yet. We’ve decided what we want to plant; in a few weeks, we’ll have to start planting things.  I already bought a grow light for the seedlings. (Growing season is short here!)

Don’t Spend Any More than $2,000 on Groceries

Eating Healthy Gluten Free Dairy Free Food on a Budget

I have to be careful because I have a ButcherBox order coming up, and I still need to pay the last deposit on our CSA. This week we spent $250.58 on groceries, which is 12.5% of my goal for this 6 weeks.

How are you doing on your goals for 2024?
