This post contains affiliate links. Last week, I was happy to have completed the chore of raking leaves, but I reminded myself that winter has its own chores. This week, we have a foot of snow on the ground this morning that fell overnight, and another foot or more of snow forecast for today. Let the winter chores begin!!
Here are my 2022 goals part 2: week 18 of 24.

My Goals for 2022 Part 2
HOME IMPROVEMENTS
These new home improvement goals are based on our new house.
Paint the front family room. Done!Paint the downstairs hallway. Done!Paint PB & J Girl’s bedroom. Done!Paint Cuddle Bug’s bedroom. Done!- Replace the kitchen sink. Sadly, we’ve run out of home improvement money for the year, so this one will have to wait until next year.
Buy. Done! We bought the last snowblower at our hardware store after having gone to several other stores. Trying to buy a snowblower before a storm that will dump feet of snow over your area is no easy feat!lawncareand snow removal equipmentMove or trim some of the trees and landscaping close to the house to let in more natural light. Done!Replace one of the bedroom windows.Done!

HEALTH
Walk 175 Miles This Years
I didn’t walk this week. Although I don’t like the idea of getting out of a warm bed to walk early in the morning when the house is cold, I think that’s the only way I can exercise regularly. Otherwise, I put it off throughout the day and it never gets done.
This goal is 82.8% complete. For the year, I’ve walked 144.9 miles on the treadmill, for 2806 minutes.
Start Weight Watchers Again
The new plan is out, but my phone is too old and full to download the app. I’m still accessing Weight Watchers on my computer, and they haven’t updated that part yet. However, I ordered a new phone, so once I get it and have the app installed, I plan to start the new program.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Read 40 Books
This goal is 90% complete. I didn’t finish any books this week, but I’m in the middle of a strange one. I have completed 36 books in 2022:
Animal Farm (review coming soon)
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks
The Unusual Life of Thomas Weaver
No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality
I’m Still Standing: From Captive U.S. Soldier to Free Citizen–My Journey Home
I’m currently reading/listening to several books. (Check out my reading challenge to see what I plan to read this year.)
Write in My Journal 30 Times This Year
This goal is 60% complete. I have written in my journal 18 times this year.
Make a Recipe Binder
This goal is 4.2% complete. Progress is slow. I have 3 recipes in my binder, but there’s room for 71.
TRAVEL
Take Eight Local Trips
No trips this week. We’ll likely be snowed in for a few days.
This goal is 87.5% complete.
In Arizona
Trip #1: We took our first trip to a local pop-up history event set in the 1880s. We saw a blacksmith working and listened to a band play old time music from the 1880s. It was a small event but fun.
Trip #2: We went to the Japanese Children’s Day Festival!
In Michigan
Trip #3: We stopped by Michigan to visit my mom before we make our way to New York. We decided to visit Adams Blueberry Farm to pick some organic blueberries. My kids haven’t done this for 8 years, since we moved to Arizona. My husband and I both commented how nice it is to be back in a place where we can do activities like this.
In New York
Trip #5: I didn’t take any pictures, but we went to Bliss Family Farm’s Homeschooler Day. They had a small petting zoo, bowling with pumpkins, and a HUGE corn maze, which we were lost in for some time. We also got to each take a pumpkin home.
Trip #6: We went to Genesee Country Village & Musuem. More details coming soon!
Trip #7: We went to New York City and Jersey City, New Jersey. More details coming soon!
In Pennsylvania
Trip #4: More details to come about our trip to Philly!

In our old house, our realtor hooked us up with her contract. He and his team were able to finish our master bathroom for much less than the tile company we hired last December to remodel the master shower.

*Replace the master bathroom towel holders(new addition)
*Paint the master bathroom ceiling(new addition)

Travel to Michigan
We went to Michigan!! We’ve actually gone to Michigan five times this year because of all the back-and-forth driving we’ve done between Arizona and New York and getting Bookworm settled in college there. This goal has been accomplished many times over.
