I’ll be honest, the week didn’t go that great.  For the first time, I split the girls up completely in their curriculum, which is a huge change to our routine.  And Bookworm is having some technical difficulties with his summer classes that still haven’t been resolved.  There were quite a few frustrating moments, for both me and the kids.  When you have two kids with autism, you just need to know that any changes in routine will cause turmoil for a few weeks.  We’ll settle into our schedule; it just might not happen until mid-August.  But, week 1 is done, so thank God for small steps!

Here are my goals for 2021: Week 30 of 52:

What I Accomplished This Week

Finish reading The Dry, and read 200 pages in How The One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House,.

No.  I did finish The Dry, but I am only 123 pages into How the One-Armed Sister Sweeps Her House.  I don’t know what it is about the latter book; I like it, but I can’t seem to read more than a few pages at a time.

Follow along to Bible in a Year for 5 episodes.

Yes.  I completed five episodes.

Have a large freezer cooking session.

Yes.  I now have 16 meals in the freezer.  Love that!

Exercise at least 6 days for 20 minutes a day this week.

No.  The house painters came to our house at 6 a.m. three days this week, so I only exercised three times this week.

Outline the first 9 weeks of the girls’ school.

No.  I finished the first five weeks, and got about halfway done with the next five weeks (ie, some subjects are planned for 10 weeks, and some are only planned for five weeks.)

Listen to one healthy living podcast.

Yes.  I listened to The Paleo Mom’s podcast on the benefits of eating oats.

Write in my jouranl three times this week.

No.
