My work is ramping up, which is excellent, but I’m still working on time management.  This week is a bit hairy as I finish my end of the month responsibilities, but starting in February, I plan to have a better plan so I can do more work AND complete all of my goals here.

Use the Barton reading program with one of my dyslexic children 4x a week for at least 45 weeks.

Argh.  We did this 3x this week.  But, the positive is that we did do this 3x this week!

Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day six days a week.

Yikes.  Only twice this week.

Eat only food made at home with the exception of three times a week.

I did this about half the week.

Practice meditation 4x a week.

Yay!  I did this 4x this week, and I’m not feeling like a weirdo like I did earlier in the month when I was doing this.  I’m using 6 Minute Meditations, but if you have any recommendations for free meditation sites, I’d love to hear which you use!

Learn to eat when I’m hungry and stop when I’m full.

Working on it.  I started watching YouTube videos on Intuitive Eating.

Eat at least 6 fruits and veggies a day.

Yay!  I did this.  I’m still eating too many sweets, but at least I got in all of my fruits and veggies for the day each day.

Blog 3x a week for at least 45 weeks of the year.

Last week I published four blog posts:

Claiming My Place by Planaira Price: A Book Review

My Goals for 2019: Week 3 of 52

Freezer Cooking January 2019 Part One

What We Ate for the Week of January 13, 2019

Increase my business income by 10%.

The last few weeks my workload has definitely picked up, which helps me get closer to this goal!

Read at least 30 minutes a day.

I read for 30 minutes each day for 5 days, and 10 minutes for the 6th day.  You can find my reading progress at my  Goodreads account.  I’d love it if you’d follow me there, and I’d love to follow you if you have a Goodreads account.

Read at least 6 religious/spiritual books.

I’ve picked my first book of the six and have started reading Saint John Paul the Great: His Five Loves by Jason Evert.

Read the Bible in a year.

I was able to do this every day this week except one day when I slept in a little bit (getting up at 5 a.m. instead of 4:30 a.m.)  I decided if I miss a day, I’m not going to push myself to do two days in one.  I’ve never read through the Bible completely before, and I want to enjoy it, not feel like it’s a chore.

Raise $1,000 for a trip to Michigan

This week we were able to put $32.40 in our Michigan fund, bringing our total to $285.20.  That means we’re already 28.5% to our goal!

Write one thing I’m grateful for a day

I started off strong and did this the first two days of the week, and then. . .nothing.  If you haven’t watched this excellent video, which inspired me to write down one grateful thing a day., I highly recommend it.  I didn’t do this at all this week, so this is one goal that I have to put front and center this week.

Have you set goals?  If so, I’d love to hear them!
