Now that it’s Advent, the kids and I decided to pause their regular school work (except Math and reading) to focus on an Advent curriculum I’ve pieced together.  I’m looking forward to the lighter school load and the chance to spend fun, quality time with the kids.  (I’ll share more about our Advent curriculum later.)

Menu Plan for the Week

Lunch–Tuna Salad Sandwiches, carrot sticks, Beanitos
Dinner–Chicken Pot Pie (with the last of our Thanksgiving chicken)

LunchSloppy Joes served over diced potatoes (I’ll make extra to put two batches in the freezer.)
DinnerStuffed Green Peppers

Lunch–Leftover stuffed green pepper filling mixed with rice
Dinner–Taco Salad

Lunch–Paleo Chili
Dinner–Meatloaf, Sauteed Greens, Homemade French Fries

Lunch–whatever leftovers are available or omelets if there is no leftovers
Dinner–Salmon Patties, roasted cauliflower, sweet potato fries

The weekend will be dad’s choice.  One meal will be sushi.  Bookworm was promised when we started homeschooling last year that if he got all A’s, he could go out to eat for the meal of his choice.  This quarter, for the first time, he got all A’s and his choice was sushi.  🙂

Meals to Fill the Freezer

I did a big grocery shopping trip right before Thanksgiving, so I also plan to make these meals to put in the freezer:

Sausage Spinach Tomato Soup x2

Slow Cooker Meatball Veggie Soup x2

Garden Veggie Soup x2

Spaghetti Bolognese x2

Chicken Apple Sausage & Kale Soup x2
