There are only two short weeks before I return to work full-time, and as each approaching week gets crazier and crazier, I think this will be my last week to really stock the freezer with already made meals.
So, I have several recipes to make this week. I’ll probably make one Once a Month Cooking meal and a slow cooker meal each day. I may double the slow cooker meals and freeze some of those too.
Last week we ate the old freezer meals I found when cleaning the freezer (some were 8 months old!), and they tasted delicious, so I am excited that all the work I am putting in now to freeze meals will help us save money in September and October when I am swamped at work.

I go back to work on the 20th. 🙁 I know what you mean about things to do! Good luck!
Our official start date back to work is the 17th, so we're savoring this last week. I LOVE meals from the freezer and stuff to throw in the crock pot. Makes my life soooooooooooo much easier!!
Thanks so much for all of these great OAMC ideas–I am a tad leery of making such large amounts of meals I have no yet tasted so I will venture into trying some of these as 1 time batches and then decide which ones to make for the freezer or to give to friends 😉 I like the quiche on sounds great
Jessie–I know what you mean! I usually only choose recipes in recipezaar that have 5 stars when reviewed. I have been pleased with all of them so far. I hope this week is the same, because you are right, it is ALOT of food, especially if we don't like one.
These look great! I'm bookmarking for when I'm in the mood to do OAMC. Hope the transition goes well for you
I love your meal planning. It actually suits what my family will eat so I just "borrow" your plan. I have one small request though- can you add one of those RSS feed things so I can read it directly in yahoo?
Thanks for the idea of cooking one meal in the crockpot while eating the other. What simple way to stock your freezer!
