This post contains affiliate links.    Here’s my confession.  I have been sort of back on Weight Watchers (WW) since February, but I hadn’t lost any weight.  How is that possible?  First, I only tracked my daily points sporadically.  Second, on the days I wasn’t tracking, I ate way more than I was supposed to on plan.  Third, I was in some really negative head space.  I was constantly telling myself that at 49, I’m too old for weight to come off easily, my metabolism has likely slowed, blah, blah, blah.

Well, I’m on several Weight Watchers groups on Facebook, and last week, a woman asked, “Is it possible to lose weight after menopause?”  Over 100 women answered, some into their 70s and 80s who have successfully lost weight on WW.  I decided if they can do it, I can to.

This past week, I focused on healthy recipes.  I tracked every day.  I did use ALL of my daily and weekly points, but I didn’t go over what was allotted me.  And guess what?!

I LOST 5 POUNDS!!!  In one week!!!

Thank God for the woman who posted because it made me identify my negative thinking, and it showed me that lots of women who are older are losing weight and getting healthier.  I can’t wait to see what this upcoming week brings!

Meal Prep

Believe it or not, one of the biggest secrets was having a low point sweet treat.  I made Double Chocolate Banana Donuts, and I’m not going to lie, sometimes I ate four of them in a day.  But I counted the points.  So, this week I will be making more.  (Here are the silicone donut molds I use.)
