Are you looking for some tasty bbq sauces that can beat the national brands? Then you will want to try Let’z Eet’s sauces. Let’z Eet is a Michigan based business that offers rubs, sauces, dressings and dips, and my are they tasty!
Our meat CSA often contains cuts of meat we don’t usually cook. The Let’z Eet sauces and rubz helped us turn some of these cuts of meat into restaurant quality dishes. For instance, my husband took spare ribs and covered them with Chicka Rubz. The ribs marinated overnight with the rubz, and then he cooked them at 275 degrees for two hours. The last 15 minutes of cooking time, he added the Stick It to Ya Ribs sauce. The rubz and sauce created moist, sweet and tangy ribs that the entire family devoured.
The Pineapple Teriyaki Sauce is a bit sweeter than the other sauces we sampled. The sweetness from this sauce came from the added fruit and juice, which is a welcome change from many other teriyaki sauces that just add sugars. It also has a little bit of heat from cayenne pepper. My two year old said it was a bit spicy, but that didn’t stop her from devouring it. We served this on pulled chicken, and on top of cooked pork and homemade meatballs. Simply put, this sauce can make anything taste better.
The first time we tried the Okey Dokey Smokey BBQ Sauce, we simply poured it over pieces of chicken we had already cooked in the slow cooker. This turned out to be a mistake because the molasses taste was a bit overwhelming. We were ready to chalk this sauce up as the only one we didn’t like, but then we made pulled chicken with the leftover chicken and cooked it in sauce for awhile. The molasses caramelized and became sweeter, turning this into an entirely different flavored sauce.
One of our favorite rubz was Jerk Rubz. We tried this on both boneless chicken breasts and thighs. The flavor was amazing on the chicken thighs, but it didn’t have the same effect on the chicken breasts, maybe because they are already drier. Even though it had a little heat to it, both of our youngest children asked for seconds when we served this meal.
The Fish Rubz was delicious on baked salmon. I often struggle with what to put on salmon, but the rubz made it taste delicious.
