This post contains affiliate links.  Something unbelievable happened last week.  In the middle of July, in Arizona, in the middle of the desert, a storm system went through, and for two days, temperatures were only 80 degrees.  If you don’t know about Arizona weather, that’s unheard of.  Normally, we don’t see daily highs that low until late September or October.  I celebrated by making a bunch of freezer meals so when the temps get back up to the 100s or upper 90s, I don’t need to stay in the kitchen!  Here are the results of my July 2021 freezer cooking session.

July 2021 Freezer Cooking Session

I started peeking around the web looking for recipes, but I quickly got tired of that and went to MyFreezEasy instead.  I picked the recipes I wanted to make and had the ingredient list and directions sent to my email.  Then I placed a Kroger order online and had my husband pick it up after work.  The next day, I was in business!

Here’s what I made.  (All recipes came from MyFreezEasy., and I made two of each meal.)

  • Sloppy Joes,
  • 5 Ingredient Chili,
  • Beef & Bean Burrito Filling,
  • Beef & Veggie Skillet,
  • Cheesy Hamburger Helper,
  • Chicken & Veggie Chili,
  • Chicken Fajita Bake,
  • Slow Cooker Chicken Enchilada Soup

Final Thoughts

Thank goodness for cooler temperatures.  Now I have 16 meals in the freezer.  In addition, I browned two more pounds of ground beef and have that frozen whenever we need ground beef for a soup, spaghetti, or tacos.
