This was my first month implementing my new grocery plan, and though I still went over budget, it was just a little over budget ($22.89), which is much better than my usual couple of hundred over budget.

Plus, we’re continuing to stock up the freezer. This week, we got 20 pounds of wild caught salmon from Zaycon. (This was my first time trying it; I can’t wait to see what the salmon taste like this weekend when my husband makes them. He was VERY happy about this purchase.)
In addition, we have quite a few bags of the seasonal bags of veggies from Costco like butternut squash. We still have our many packages of bacon, and the 50 pound bag of oatmeal we bought is going strong.

Just a Few Facts About Us
Our family of 5 chooses to eat mostly organic produce and grass-fed and pasture-raised meats. I’m Paleo, my daughter is semi-Paleo, and the rest of us are gluten free. Everyone except my husband is dairy free. Our goal for the last few months of the year is to spend on average $750 per month on groceries.

Vitacost had a Black Friday sale, so I stocked up on some snack items as well as tapioca flour for the cookies I’ll need to make next week for the girls’ AHG troop.
