This week I hit the clearance jackpot with Udi’s frozen French baguettes.  We used one package to make Meatball Subs, and I served one plain with our Polish sausage and cabbage meal.  We still have 5 loaves left (out of the 8 I bought).  Wish I could find such good deals on this kind of food all the time!

Just a Few Facts About Us

Our family of 5 chooses to eat mostly organic produce and grass-fed and pasture-raised meats.  I’m Paleo, my daughter is semi-Paleo, and the rest of us are gluten free.  Everyone except my husband is dairy free.  Our goal for 2018 is to spend on average $750 per month (or less) on groceries.

Here’s what we bought last week:

Fry’s – $13

Not pictured.  4 dozen eggs & one package of Blinksi sausage (1 WW pt, yay!)

Trader Joe’s – $9

Not pictured.  3 containers of coconut milk, 1 box of rice krispie treats, and one bunch of bananas.

Sprouts & Walmart – $25

This was the sweetest deal!  Sprouts had Udi’s frozen french bread on clearance for $1.99.  They’re also running a 20% off frozen food sale, so each bag of frozen french bread (2 loaves per bag) were just $1.59!  Love it!  The grass fed beef was $3.99/lb.

Costco – $55

Trader Joe’s & Natural Grocers – $36

Trader Joe’s, Basha’s & Target – $23

Not pictured is one other bunch of bananas.
