I took a break from cleaning yesterday to head out to Gymboree for their Big Red Balloon Sale when clothes are significantly discounted. I love these sales because not only do you earn Gymbucks, but there is never a time to get Gymboree clothing cheaper.
In the last year, I have tried to save money buy avoiding Gymboree and buying clothes from Kohl’s and Target as well as Once Upon a Child. What I have found, though, is that I can buy Gymboree clothes at the same price or cheaper when I shop the Big Red Balloon Sale. (Make sure to check out my tips for dressing your kids for free or nearly free in Gymboree.)
Here is what I got this time for my 2.5 year old:
- 1 dress
- 8 shirts
- 1 pair of jeans
- 5 shorts
- 2 skirts
I got all of these items for a grand total of $73.46, which works out to $4.31 per item. Also, since many pieces mix and match, I think I bought too much. She really doesn’t need 8 shirts and 7 bottoms for the summer, so I plan to sell at least two of the outfits on eBay this year where I will recoup my money.
Even better, my daughter turns 3 in April, so many of these pieces will be part of her birthday present.
The Red Balloon Sale will be going on for a few more days if you want to stock up on summer clothes for your kids.
