Best Meat Delivery Service

This post contains affiliate links.  For years now, I’ve been getting my meat and seafood one of two ways–either direct from the farmer in large quantities, or from a meat delivery service such as U.S. Wellness Meats or ButcherBox.  Recently I learned about a new meat delivery service, Good Chop.  As part of an offer to entice new customers, Good Chop offered a free turkey with the purchase of my first box.  I jumped on the offer, and I was quite pleased with my order.  If you are interested in a quality meat delivery service, read on for my full Good Chop review.

(FYI, Good Chop is no longer offering a free turkey, but if you use this link for ButcherBox, you can get a free turkey and $30 off your first box.)

What Is Good Chop

Good Chop is a new meat delivery service that sources meat and fish entirely within the United States.

Where Does the Meat Come From?

With Good Chop, your meat won’t be grown in another country and processed in the U.S.  The entire process is completed in the United States, so your money helps support several American businesses.

How Much Meat Comes in the Box?

You can choose between two box sizes.

Medium Box

A medium box comes with six different meat and seafood selections for a total of 9 to 14 pounds.  In addition, you can choose to add on up to 15 pounds of additional meat to this box for an additional cost.

Large Box

The large box comes with 12 different meat and seafood selections.  You can choose to add on up to 30 pounds of additional meat to this box, again, for an additional cost.

What Does Good Chop Offer?

Good Chop offers selections of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood.

The Best Meat Delivery Service?

Beef

The beef selection is about 50% grass-fed items and 50% conventional beef.  They offer a variety of steaks, ground beef, and beef stew meat.  Currently, they only have one cut of roast available–bottom round roast.

Pork

They offer a variety of pork cuts from ground pork, to pulled pork, to sausage, bacon, and pork butt, to name a few.

Chicken

Good Chop currently offers chicken breasts, chicken thighs, and whole organic turkey.

Seafood

They offer wild caught Rock fish, Cod, Salmon, shrimp, and scallops.

Good Chop Review

Plus, we also got the free turkey.  Not including the turkey, we received 11.875 pounds of meat and fish.

How Does Good Chop Meat and Seafood Taste?

So far, we’ve had the pork chops and the cod.  Both were delicious.  The pork chops were moist and flavorful and surprisingly much better than the pork we bought direct from the farmer last year.

We liked the meat and fish so much, we plan to order again in November.

Final Thoughts

I hope this Good Chop review has helped you decide if you would like to try their service.  Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised.  Good Chop is definitely a company we will put in our regular rotation for meat delivery service.
