Before I leap into my goals, I’m planning my summer blog content, and I’d love to know if you find the weekly grocery reports valuable or not?  Please let me know in the comments as well as what other kind of content you’d like to see.  I don’t want to post stuff that isn’t useful to anyone.  😉

My mom has graciously come to stay for about 2.5 months, for which I am SOOOO grateful!  Having her here helps me as I shuttle the kids between appointments and evaluations and take the time to arrange new therapy for my one child with autism and the other child who is being evaluated this month for autism.

Besides that, just having her support is so helpful.  A girl is never too old to get help from mom.

Make Time to Relax

Read a book a week.   I’m halfway through Somewhere There Is Still a Sun.  It’s deep and emotional, so I can only read a bit at a time.  I think I’ll also start Josiah’s Fire so I can read that when the other book becomes too much for me.


Write. Nothing this week.

Care for Myself

Exercise.  I took two 10 minute walks this week.

Manage my sugar cravings. My mom and I started Weight Watchers last week.  (I had been doing it online with little success, so we decided to go to the meetings.)  I also decided that rather than using the Freestyle program, I’ll use the Simply Filling technique.  I like the wide variety of foods I can have without counting points.  I feel like if I’m hungry, I can nourish my body without guilt.  When I use points, even on Freestyle, I feel deprived and always run out of points.  Here’s to new starts and changing techniques.

Re-establish My Prayer Routine

I said my morning and evening prayers every day but one.
