I’m still struggling with finding me time.  So, I’m not going to add any goals for at least a few weeks, and I’m going to keep working on these goals until they become habit.

Make Time to Relax

Read a book a week.   I’m reading Pachinko and really liking it, but I’ve just started.  I’ll have to make sure to carve out time to read this week!

Write. From my tween years to my early 30s (before kids!) I wrote in my journal almost daily.  It was a stress reliever for me.  Getting back into the habit is surprisingly difficult, but I know I still feel better after I write, so I’m not taking this one off the list.  I’m going to keep working on it until it becomes habit.

Care for Myself

Exercise.  The goals is to take two to three 10 minute walks a week.  I’d also like to try yoga for at least 10 minutes a week.

Manage my sugar cravings. In college, I read Geneen Roth’s Breaking Free from Emotional Eating, and I had good luck when I really tried to listen to my body.  I don’t want to count points or eliminate foods from my diet.  I want balance.  It’s time to try listening to my body again.

Create a Manageable Schedule for Myself

Oh, this is huge!  As my kids get older, and as we go through this really rough, emotional patch with our child with autism, my kids seem to need me more than ever, but I also need time for myself, to blog, to do my freelance writing, to spend time with my husband, etc.  I NEED to do those things, so I have to find time for them.  I’m thinking I need to revamp my schedule so that I get up earlier in the morning to exercise, have me time, and do some work.

Re-establish My Prayer Routine

I’ll be honest here.  I’m struggling with anger about our current family situation.  When I feel angry or resentful, I’m less likely to pray (though it’s probably the time I most need to pray).  I’ve noticed on the days that I don’t begin my mornings with prayer, the days aren’t as smooth.  This is a habit that I desperately need to have in place.

Make $25 a Month on Swagbucks

I think I’m going to eliminate this goal.  I just have too many other things going on.  I need to work on all the other goals.  I’ll do Swagbucks if I have time, but I’m not going to knock myself out on this one.

How are you doing on your goals?  I’d love it if you’d share in the comments!
