Are your kids big VeggieTales fans?  Mine are!

The kids were excited when I told them that the creator of VeggieTales, Phil Vischer, has created a new show, Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9.  We all sat down to watch, and while my girls weren’t as interested (perhaps because they were too young or because the sci-fi aspect may appeal more to boys), my son watched it with interest.

The story is about Buck Denver, who wants to save the galaxy and do something big for God.  Buck wants to do something big so his “life will matter,” but things don’t quite work out the way he wanted them to.  (Doesn’t that seem to happen to all of us?)

However, along the way he meets someone who teaches him that doing “big  things” is not necessarily what God wants for all of us.  Instead, He wants us to follow his will, whatever that may be.  Children will learn the importance of trust and faith in this show.

Parents will enjoy the nod to Star Wars and Star Trek throughout the show.  This show is great for the whole family and runs approximately 40 minutes.

Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9 will be released on October 20, 2015, though it’s available for viewing now on JellyTelly.
