When you get gazelle intense, there will be times when you cannot snowflake.  That has happened to us over the last two weeks.

We have several medical bills that we have to pay our portion of, which comes to about $600.

Why so much at once?

Our insurance has been VERY slow to pay, and some payments from the early winter just went through, so we finally know what our portion will be. The other problem we are running into is that our insurance is paying so slowly, that many of our health care providers want us to pay the entire bill upfront and wait to be reimbursed.  Since we aren’t independently wealthy :), we don’t have money to pay every medical bill in its entirety upfront and wait for reimbursement.  While I am grateful to have insurance, it almost feels like we don’t when we are expected to pay the entire bill upfront.  So far we have avoided doing so, but I am not sure how much longer that will happen.

Because we need inspiration, and maybe you do too, here are some good posts around the web about getting out of debt.
