We tried a new recipe this week–Bacon Wrapped Turkey Burgers–and they were a hit!
I find most turkey burger recipes to be a bit too dry. Thanks to the bacon, this one had just the right amount of moisture. Thanks to the turkey, it is a little healthier than a regular bacon burger. Also, I have really missed eating a burger with cheese since I found out I couldn’t have dairy, but this one is lovely on its own without any cheese.
Bacon Wrapped Turkey Burgers
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 lb. fresh ground turkey
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 cup fine dry breadcrumbs (I just broiled two pieces of wheat bread and minced them in my food processor)
12 bacon slices
-Set oven to broil. Cook bacon until limp. Allow to cool.
-Mix turkey, Worcestershire, garlic salt and bread crumbs. Salt and pepper to taste.
-Shape into six 1/2 inch patties
-Crisscross two slices of bacon on each patty, tuck ends under and secure with a toothpick
-Broil with tops about 4 inches from heat source and cook about 4 minutes on each side, until turkey springs back when touched and is no longer pink.
Thanks to Food on the Table for the great recipe!

looks like a very balanced meal and the turkey sounds great love the bacon
Bacon would be a great way to add flavor and moisture! Yum!
Nothing like a good healthy meal to be made delicious with some bacon. Sounds really good!
