I used to be the kind of person who had all my presents bought and wrapped in October. Now, not so much.
I have about half my presents bought, and this weekend, I plan to do some more of my shopping at Target. I love that I can get everything in one place and that the prices are reasonable!
Recently, I took the kids to Target and just happened to wander around the toy aisle. Who needs a Christmas list when you take the kids right to the store? Right away they started pointing to all the things they liked.
Bookworm, who is 9 and a boy, loved looking at the Lego kits. He liked the big Star Wars kits, but he was also impressed with the smaller Lego kits that could be made into two or three different things. I loved the idea of the latter. Buy one kit, and your child can make three different things. How cool is that?
Bookworm and Cuddle Bug, who is a girl and 3.5, both looked at the toy cars. In fact, they fight over Bookworm’s toy cars at home, so maybe it’s time to get Cuddle Bug a few of her own!
Peanut Butter & Jelly Girl is 5, and she loves all things Hello Kitty. I don’t think she’d care what she got for Christmas as long as it was Hello Kitty. Toy cruise ship to pajamas to hat, she’d be happy with any of it!
Of course, if you don’t want to head out to the stores and face the throngs of people searching for the perfect gift, you can always check out Target online.

I think books are always a great gift! I would get some books for twin 5-year-olds I know; their parents have just decided to divorce, and their mom asked for something to put under the tree for the kids this year. Some Dr. Seuss, Eve Bunting, or Eric Carle would fit the bill.
I would get my grandson LEGO Duplo Race Day ! He loves Legos and all things Cars.

It has the DeLorean, complete with a flux capacitor, and hilarious Doc Brown and Marty McFly minifigures. Pretty funny!
