UPDATE: The winner is Danielle. Congratulations!
I continue to eat a Paleo diet while my family eats Paleo meals, but they often have a side of rice or eat gluten free pancakes. Cooking is time consuming and a juggle act for sure as we try to navigate our many food intolerances.
When I first went to a Paleo diet a year ago, I loved the taste of the food, but I found cooking to be so time consuming because EVERYTHING had to be prepared from scratch. I wish I had known then about Paleo slow cooking.
Now, with wonderful cookbooks like The 163 Best Paleo Slow Cooker Recipes by Judith Finlayson, putting a delicious gluten free, Paleo meal on the table is almost effortless.
This is a fantastic cookbook!
The beginning of the book gives a run down on both the parameters of the Paleo diet and how to use the slow cooker.
The cookbook itself has recipes for:
- Starters and Snacks
- Fish and Seafood
- Beef and Veal
- Pork and Lamb
- Just Veggies
- Condiments and Accompaniments
We tried a number of recipes and enjoyed them all. However, the kids’ favorites were the slow cooker Tomato Sauce (which we used to top the kids’ GF spaghetti) and the Sloppy Joes.
This cookbook contains glossy, full page photos of some of the meals, so it is visually appealing as well. This is a cookbook that we’ll be using often.
