Goals for 2018: Week 12 of 52

This week, I want to limit my goals and only focus on the most important ones.  I wrote last week about how I need to learn to take care of myself.  That is so important now because I feel like my health is suffering thanks to all of the stress at home.  For this week, I’m going to reduce my goals to the most basic:

  1. Stick to my Weight Watchers daily points allowance.
  2. Walk 4x this week for at least 10 minutes each time.
  3. When I get stressed, which happens several times a day now, say the Divine Praises prayer over and over until I feel calm.

That’s it.  Just three goals.  I can’t control a lot of what is going on in my life, but I can control these three things, which, I think, will make me feel better.

With that said, here’s how I did last week on my goals:

Special goal to sell $100 worth of homeschool curriculum–I rocked this.  After fees and shipping, I earned $112.30 from selling three different things.

Make Time to Relax

Read a book a week.   I am enjoying The Kremlin Conspiracy, but I haven’t had enough time to read it.  I’m hoping this week we can have some quiet time built into our day so I can read more.

Write. I didn’t write in my journal this week.

Care for Myself

Exercise.  I didn’t walk this week.

Manage my sugar cravings. Yeah.  Not so great on this one.  My birthday is this week, and once it’s over, I’m giving up sweets except for birthdays and holidays.  (Only the actual day will I indulge, not the week or two leading up to a holiday like usual.  :))

Create a Manageable Schedule for Myself

The chore chart is working great for the kids, but I’m still trying to tweak my own schedule, as you can see.

Re-establish My Prayer Routine

This week was not so good.  I only said my morning prayers about half of the mornings this week because we got up late a few mornings.

Make $25 a Month on Swagbucks

I started at 214 Swagbucks back at the end of January, and now I’m at 2,150.  So close to my first $25 Amazon gift card for 2018.  Only 50 points away from the  2,200 Swagbucks so I can finally get the gift card!

These are my initial goals for 2018.  How are you doing on your goals?  I’d love it if you’d share in the comments!

  1. Thank you for sharing. Happy Birthday! I too am still working on my schedule for cleaning and working. I pretty much have my morning routine down pat but my afternoon and evening routines still need some fine tuning. Best Wishes for a wonderful week. oh ps same here with our sweets and chocolate cravings. Hubby and I have reduced them greatly but I am looking for healthier choices.

I have found a healthier treat–mash one banana and mix with an egg. Then add a bit of carob or cocoa and some walnuts, if you prefer. Microwave for 2.5 minutes.
