Menu Planning for Sunday, December 14th

I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner!

Grandma flew in for a few weeks, so we’re all enjoying having her here.  I picked a few recipes this week that are her favorite.

Also, I’m making a concerted effort to cut my grocery bill.  I recently started listening to Grocery University, and she recommended that you try to eat from the pantry for a week or two to build up extra cash for groceries so you can start the month with the full amount of money you have to spend on groceries for the month, so that is what I’m going to do.  I plan to spend less than $50 this week to just round out our stock with stuff we need.  Just to keep myself accountable, at the end of each menu planning post, I’ll now share my grocery shopping trips.

Groceries for the Week–$45.43

Since our pantry is mostly stocked, this week I just got some basics.  I shopped at Sprouts, Fry’s, and Albertsons.

  1. My kids would love the Crispy Chicken Fingers (I guess I would, too!).
