Menu Planning for August 17, 2014

What a busy weekend it’s been!  We moved in to our new house on Friday.  Even though I downsized A LOT and got rid of a lot of stuff before we left Chicago, what we had left still felt like too much when the movers brought it all in.



IMG_4073We’ve been unpacking for two days now, and my husband painted the girls’ new room.  IMG_4053He took it from orange (a.k.a “desert brown”) to purple and pink.  IMG_4076PB & J Girl loves the color purple, and Cuddle Bug loves the color pink.  They couldn’t agree, so we painted two walls both colors.  (The other walls are a cream color that match the middle stripe.)

I can’t wait until we’re settled, especially since we’re out of freezer meals!  All of the meals after Tuesday are repeats from last week because we didn’t have a chance to make them.

Here’s the plan for this week:

MondayUnstuffed Cabbage Rolls

Tuesday–Hot dogs, peas and carrots, diced potatoes

WednesdayChicken Pot Pie

ThursdayPaleo Crockpot Chili (x2–one for the freezer)

FridayGround Beef Goulash (x2–one for the freezer)

We don’t have a weekend plan yet because I’m going to plan some freezer cooking meals.

Another thing we’re short on are snacks for the kids.  Around 3 p.m., they get hungry, so it’s time to make some quick snacks.  Here’s what we’re planning:
