Weekly Goals for February 19, 2014 and an Update on Last Week’s Goals

This week we’re doing a full week of homeschooling again and staying home a lot more.  Last week was fun, but too busy!  One of my kids would love to go somewhere every single day, while the other two definitely need their downtime at home (and so do I!).

Last Week’s Goals

Financial

  • Have a budget meeting with my husband.  Head hanging in shame.  Still not done.
  • Decide with my husband what conferences we’ll attend in 2014.  Ditto the comment above.
  • Create our will.  WOO HOO!  This is done!  My husband and I both have basic wills now.  When we get more money, we’ll also create a trust, hopefully by the end of this year.
  • Submit our tax documents to our accountant.

Personal

  • Study Japanese with the kids at least four times this week.
  • Read at least 3 books to the girls a day.
  • Do at least 15 minutes of ABCMouse.com with each girl 2 to 3 days this week.
  • Spend an hour listing things for sale on Craigslist and Mom Mail.  I haven’t gotten this done yet.  Unfortunately, I think it will have to wait until the beginning of March because the end of the month is very busy for me usually.
  • Read for 30 minutes every day.  I was struggling to find a book I could become engrossed in, but I’ve finally found one.
  • Write two journal entries this week.  This is a hard habit to get back into!
  • Exercise with the kids 2 times this week.
  • Clean the pantry!  I cleaned part of it, but there is still a lot more to go!

Work

  • Put up 2 reviews and/or giveaways this week.
  • Write 7 staff writing and freelance articles this week.  I wrote 12 staff writing and freelance posts this week.
  • Have at least 3 of my own blog posts written and scheduled for next week.  Not only did I do this, but I actually got some posts for next week written and scheduled.

Do you make weekly goals?  If so, what are yours?

  1. Will done – great!! I know you’re happy to have this crossed off the list, and I’m happy for you!

  2. What do you do when you exercise with your kids? My daughter is two, so she mainly wants to jump on me, but I’m thinking of things we could do in the future.

  3. Love the specificity of your goals! I think I might have to start doing this to give myself some accountability to get things done! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
