Menu Planning for January 5, 2014

IMG_3349Last week I had a big freezer cooking session, so my freezer is stocked with yummy goodness.  I love that the dinner hour will be less stressful now.  I’ll simply reheat and, voila, dinner is ready!

I’ve also made it a resolution this year to try at least one new recipe a week, so while some of the meals on this plan are oldies but goodies, many are new recipes for our family.

(The recipes with an * next to them represent meals that are already in the freezer.)


Lunch–Chicken Fried Rice
Dinner–Chicken Tacos with Guacamole

Lunch–Pulled Pork, rice, peas
Dinner–TBD (dad’s in charge here)

Monday–Roasted pork loin with root veggies

TuesdayOne Pot Stuffed Pepper Soup*

WednesdayMeatball Minestrone Soup*

Thursday–Beef Roast with Root Veggies in the Slow Cooker

FridayHamburger Soup*

  2. Love your “new recipe” resolution. I’ve done that in the past and found some wonderful additions to my recipes. I think it’s also made me a better cook — trying new techniques, new food combinations, etc.
