Our tomato plants are just about done. They browned and died way before I thought they would. I don’t know if that’s normal or if there was some kind of problem with them.
The funny thing is that our first garden box that was looking so lush at the beginning of the season now looks SAD, but our other garden box that took forever to grow looks gorgeous.

The basil had flowered everywhere and just looked (and tasted) horrible, so we pulled it all up. We also pulled up a few of the volunteer tomato plants that were not going to grow fast enough. Now I have to find time to go plant some bok choy for the fall.

I’m absolutely loving the greens–the collards are doing great, and the kale is catching up. Our cucumbers are growing, but it appears some type of pest has started to eat on them. I’m not sure how many more we’ll get.
In the last week we have gotten:
Tomatoes: 1 lbs. 12 oz.
Swiss Chard: 8 oz.
Green Beans: 1 lb.
Collard Greens: 14 oz.
Kale: 3 oz.
So far this year, we’ve harvested total:
2 lb. 1 oz. of green beans
3 lbs. 12 oz. of Swiss chard
6 lbs. 4 oz. of tomatoes
3 oz. Kale
14 oz. Collard Greens
.3 oz. of basil
