I love Gymboree clothing. What I don’t love is the price. If I paid retail for an outfit for my daughter, I could easily drop $30 to $60 or more. Not exactly frugal.
However, through the years I have learned some techinques for getting Gymboree clothes at rock bottom prices. I wrote the post, “How I Dress My Kids in Gymboree Clothes for Free or Nearly Free” to explain how I do it. I also like to share my Gymboree purchases as I did in the post “Great Stock Up Items at Gymboree“. I purchased my daughter’s entire wardrobe for next winter for $68.29, and best of all, I will be able to resell it on eBay and recoup almost my entire expense.
Why do I love Gymboree clothes? For the most part, they are extremely durable. They hold up to my rough and tumble son, and they make it through both of my daughters wearing the same outfit; when my kids have outgrown them, there is still life in the clothes. Also, my middle child is extremely lean, and when we tried to dress her in cheaper clothes, they just did not fit her well. Plus, I like all of the matching clothes. I figure I should enjoy their cute matching outfits now because soon my kids won’t let me pick their clothes.

I am a SAHM to two precious boys. Because they are into everything, I tend to purchase their clothes at thrift stores, garage sales, and bottom line clearance racks.
